Have you been ever in love? This entry contains my personal questions and reflections about Love. First what is love. Second What is my personal view of love. Third what were my experiences that I felt very much loved. Fourth where is love.
1st: What is Love?
Definitions of love on the Web:

- -any object of warm affection or devotion; "the theater was her first love"; "he has a passion for cock fighting";
- -have a great affection or liking for; "I love French food"; "She loves her boss and works hard for him"
- -beloved: a beloved person; used as terms of endearment
- -get pleasure from; "I love cooking"
- -a deep feeling of sexual desire and attraction; "their love left them indifferent to their surroundings"; "she was his first love"
- -be enamored or in love with; "She loves her husband deeply"

For John Denver Love is
It exists to give you comfort, it is there to keep you warm
And in those times of trouble when you are most alone
The memory of love will bring you home
Perhaps love is like a window, perhaps an open door
It invites you to come closer, it wants to show you more
And even if you lose yourself and don't know what to do
The memory of love will see you through
Love to some is like a cloud, to some as strong as steel
For some a way of living, for some a way to feel
And some say love is holding on and some say letting go
And some say love is everything, and some say they don't know
Perhaps love is like the ocean, full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when it's cold outside, thunder when it rains
If I should live forever, and all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you
Some say love is holding on and some say letting go
Some say ove is everything and some say they don't know
Perhaps love is like the mountains, full of conflict, full of change
Like a fire when it's cold outside, thunder when it rains
If I should live forever, and all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you
These are some definition of love from different sources, which means that every one has his or own view of love. I too have my own definition of love. Here comes the 2nd part: What is my personal view of love?
I have been denying something in my life which is very beautiful. At first I thought it might be something I have, I have received, or I deny giving. It is Love.
I have denied that as a being I am a very lovable creature and I am capable of loving. Sometimes I deny that I am already in love with a person. I have been denying love in my life. Now I'm grateful because I have been opened to the reality that I am loved and I am capable of doing so.
I also rejected or I have taken for granted the love that other people has shown or given me. I did not believe that people love me and I did not believe that I too have loved. I did not deep within me that I was loved so as an effect I was not able to love myself.
I realized that I did not believe in love.
Love is a word
What is its essence
Love is a word
Is it existing
Love is a word
Where is its substance
Love is a word
Does it mean anything?
This was my personal view of love until I realized that it was the other way around. Here comes the 3rd part: What were my experiences that I felt very much loved?
When I was in fifth grade I was very blessed to be to participate in the 12th Asian Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka, Japan. It was the happiest moment in my life. I felt welcomed, very much appreciated, and I had a new bunch of friends. Similar encounters trigger this happiness and makes me refresh all that had happened during the event.
Lately the aspirants of Cebu went to Canlubang as part of their summer camp. We were able to meet them and organize something for them. We prayed together, they did what we had in chores, we animated the mass, we played together and had a wonderful experience having an itneraction with each other. It was a very memorable experience for me.
Another happy experience that I had recently was the teaching of English to Thai students. Being with the students made me feel happy and they were able to help us in developing our teaching skills. They were not just students. They are also our friends.
On these occasions I experienced joy and enthusiasm and when I was meditating upon them, I realized the root of this happiness is because I felt loved.
Now that we have defined love, I have also shared my view about love and shared my experiences, we are now directed to the 4th part: Where does love come from?
In one of my meditations I realized that there is no love greater than the other. God is love and He is the ultimate source of it. When we decide to love we let others experience His love. That is where love comes from.
Raymond Hannisian
After all the places I have been, now Im going home.
I have been to seek the sky, to travel on the highway
And the time has come, I dont know why
Im going home.
REF1:
Where is the answer to so many questions
I dont know, so I begin another journey
Where is the meaning for my world
I see the answer now.
2. Though we came by diffrent roads, now we walk together.
Stay beside me all our days, strangers never more.
Through the cool of summer rains, by the heartside fire
Here I`ll be with you when nothing remains
I am home to stay.
REF2:
Love is the answer to so many questions
Now I know, and I can stop my endless wandring
Love gives the meaning to my world
I see the answer now.
Love is the Answer.... Love!
(lyrics from:http://www.lieth-kontrast.de/html/love_is_the_answer.html)
We have a lot of questions about love, but we never realized that the answer to these questions is LOVE. Love in itself is the answer. For God is Love.
Vacation Time
Sunday, May 17, 2009 - Labels: Home Visit: Summer 2009 - 1 Comments
Vacation is a change of occupation. This definition was given by St. John Bosco. I veered away from the regular daily schedule, said good bye to my notes for a while and planned something while I will be with my family. For me vacation time is time to reflect about my life, spend quality time with my family, time for myself, time to meet friends and relatives, and of course a perfect venue for rest.
We started our vacation last May 8 and will be ending it on the 20th. As of now I could say that my personal objectives for this journey (summer break) has been fulfilled. But of course I have to improve some points.
Here are some of the happenings for the past week:
Day 1(May 8): Divisoria with the batch... Migs thank your for the accommodation!
Day 2 (May 9): Dinner at Racks with my family at MOA.
